Together with Tinkoff, we created the design of debit cards and a series of videos about stress.
Noisy neighbors, a group of teenagers outside right below one’s window, an alarm that won’t turn off — sometimes stress builds up too quickly. Our Kitty couldn’t handle it, but we suggest taking a breath and a break. Kitty, take them more often.
Ruslana Mirzaalieva, Director:
We've been wanting to experiment with a style on the edge of 3D and 2D for a long time. In order to convey the internal state of a sleep-deprived cat, we decided to draw their emotions directly on top of 3D. The main inspiration for this was the animation of Jinx from Arcane.
Ruslana Mirzaalieva, character designer:
I decided to make a cat character for this story. His ears and tail allowed us to better reveal the emotions at the master shot.
Masha Kolpakova, 3D animator:
Since the cat’s facial expressions were done in 2D after the 3D animation stage of the body, my task was to show the changing state of the cat only through body language. It was a challenge. On the one hand, everything is as simple as possible, and on the other hand, everything genius is simple. Just the tail alone gave so much expressiveness, not to mention the gorgeous paws and ears.
Seryozha Ryzhov, environment design and modeling:
I was solving a purely technical problem of embodying a stylized minimalist concept using Blender tools. I like the visual language of this video more than others, and I still consider this direction promising: not too labor-intensive in production, visually easy, and quite modern.
