Tinkoff Bank
·  Take a breath, Kitty!

Together with Tinkoff, we created the design of debit cards and a series of videos about stress.

Series:  Window  Dog  USB

When things don’t go as planned, your hands are full of groceries, and you need to solve an urgent task over the phone right now — something will inevitably go wrong. It’s easy to say “take a deep breath” in such a stressful moment, but we still insist and suggest taking it — and a break — with us.

Ruslana Mirzaalieva, Director:

I wanted to convey a nostalgic landscape of my native reality. When you walk through a residential area from a store, it’s a pleasant rare sunny day, next to the beaten, once luxurious houses painted in a pale yellow color, covered in graffiti. You meet funny little dogs along the way (I adore Spitz dogs). You don’t have to rush anywhere, nothing happens, but you feel happy for no reason.

Anya Tarasova, character designer:

I ran away from the real world to draw funny Spitz dogs and red-haired girls. The most torture was with the girl’s hair — on the one hand, it was a fun game of find me a hairstyle, but on the other hand, I had to understand their structure and how they would move.

Galina Pugach, 2D animator:

When I saw the character designs, I instantly fell in love with the doggy. One of the main tasks was to think through how the dog should move on the scene. It was necessary to succinctly convey its fussiness and playfulness. So the most wonderful thing that was further in the work was the search for video references. Watching dozens of videos about dogs, what could be better?

Vova Orlov, lead animator:

In this cute video, I really wanted to show a fairly harmless situation as if it were a dramatic confrontation. Hence the slow-mo and the dog jumping out like a shark from “Jaws”. It’s better to end such a story with even more absurdity. A sudden denouement, the heroine dances and plays in the middle of the mess. Perhaps this is how I behave in situations when I’m really pressed.

Lera Loog, Environment Design:

My main goals with background painting were to show an urban environment, convey a summer-like vibe, and make them a bit more realistic compared to the main character. I played with textures, looked through a bunch of graffiti on the streets of Berlin, and tried not to overload backgrounds with details so it doesn't interfere with the animation.
