Tinkoff Bank encourages to make baby steps towards saving the planet by refusing to get bags at the supermarkets for 30 days and get 5% cashback in return. We created a video to announce this challenge.
We created a video to announce this challenge. The voice and the main inspo of the project was Nikolay Drozdov - the host of the popular TV program “In the World of Animals”.
Every character is a reference to plastic bags that we use in our daily lives. Some of them are even taken from our childhood. For example, the bag with “Marianna” from the 90-s was the main inspiration for the Plasticbagis Stripos that is jumping around the trees like a monkey.
The main goal of the animation was to place the bags in a “natural” habitat. We used random plastic bags flying around the city and floating in the river as our references. The TV program “In the World of Animals” was our main inspiration, so we tried to give our bags the manners and characters of real animals.
Plastic bags have fully integrated into our daily lives and we don’t notice them anymore. They crawl under our sink, swim along with fish in the river, fly around the city like birds. We aimed to represent the fact that plastic bags became a part of our environment just like any other habitants.
